150 Shades LLC is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible only to adults. The Service contains adult-oriented content related to consensual sexuality, kink, and BDSM. We take our responsibility to restrict access to minors seriously.
2. Age Requirement
You must be 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to access or use the Service. This requirement applies to all users in all jurisdictions.
3. How We Verify Age
3.1 Affirmative Declaration (Phase 1)
All users are required to affirmatively confirm their age before accessing any content. Upon first visiting the Service, users are presented with an age verification gate requiring them to:

3.2 Verification Persistence
Once age verification is completed, a consent record is stored in your browser's local storage for 30 days. After 30 days, the age verification gate will be shown again. This data is stored on your device only and is not transmitted to us.
3.3 Limitations
We acknowledge that a checkbox declaration is not a technical age-verification mechanism and cannot absolutely prevent a determined minor from accessing the Service. However, this method:
- Creates a legal representation by the user
- Will be upgraded to stronger mechanisms as legally required or as the platform grows
4. State-Specific Requirements
Several U.S. states have enacted or proposed laws requiring more robust age verification for adult content platforms. We are monitoring these requirements and will update our verification mechanism as needed:

Users accessing the Service from these states should be aware of these requirements. We will implement additional verification mechanisms if and when required by applicable law.
5. Reporting Underage Access
If you have reason to believe that a minor has accessed or is accessing the Service, please contact us immediately at safety@150layers.com. We will investigate and take immediate action to restrict access.
6. Consequences of Misrepresentation
Any user who misrepresents their age to gain access to the Service:
- Violates our Terms of Service and may have their access immediately terminated
- Bears full legal responsibility for their misrepresentation
- May be subject to applicable civil or criminal penalties under law
150 Shades LLC bears no liability for any harm resulting from a user's fraudulent misrepresentation of their age.

As the platform grows and as legal requirements evolve, we plan to evaluate and potentially implement:
